ANGELA WILKIE

Watery Plains.jpeg

Angela, is a mixed media artist, who doesn't restrict herself to just one medium. Working from her studio in Morpeth, Northumberland, she says she loves experimenting with different paints and mediums.

"I'm passionate about painting and like to use colour to create emotion in my work.  I love the harmonious colours of nature's rich palette, so am always on the lookout for good combinations which I then translate it in a semi-abstract or abstract way. "

She says she has been lucky enough to study under several leading international artists, who have all in their own way influenced her work.

Angela has exhibited widely in a number of UK galleries and some of her earlier pieces were sold in National Trust shops. She was also commissioned by the Trust at Seaton Delaval Hall to produce a painting of their huge cut flower border in the grounds.

Angela's work can be found at many of the Tin Shed events and at Haslam's of Hallgate gallery in Hexham.
