Caroline Riley began designing and making her needle felted critters three years ago. Since then her business, WhataJoyCrafts has continued to grow and demand for her woolly creations knows no bounds.

She hand crafts  everything from mice to moles and bees to bears. She also makes the wooden stands and boxes herself.

Much of her commission work is for family pets. If you'd like to commission a piece please get in touch with Caroline via email.

Caroline is self taught and says much of her learning has been through lots of trials and errors. Today she runs her business from her home at Weardale in County Durham.

Her life-like needle felt sculptures, sell at a number of local shops and galleries and she is a member of craft collective Jaspah Crewe at Blanchland in Northumberland, where you can see and buy her work.
