ELLIE DAVISON-ARCHER

Ellie Davison-Archer is a textile designer and printmaker specialising in hand screen-printed homewares and accessories.
After graduating in Fine Art, Ellie moved back home to Northumberland where she now has her studio, at The Old Bath House in Broomhill.
Ellie gets much of her inspiration from collecting natural objects, such as discarded curiosities and vintage oddities. She's always loved beach-combing and foraging, partly because of her curious nature, but it's now become the basis for her observational studies and fine line sketches. Findings from the Northumberland coast and countryside are the inspiration for many of her designs. After sketching them, they're developed into layered compositions and patterns. Ellie brings her designs to life by screen-printing using traditional methods onto fabric in a series of natural colour palettes. She then uses the fabric for a range of interior products, designed to bring the great outdoors into the home.
