exhibitor info

Please see a list of our events below and info about how to join them. Most are now open for applications.

We may add new events to this and update information throughout the year.

If you'd like more information or would like to apply, please email us at info@thetinshed.co.uk  If we're not familiar with your work already, then please add a couple of pics or a link so we can see what you do and send as much info as possible about it.

We'll then send you an application form/s for each event, because they vary in set up and costs.

All work exhibited or sold at our events should be your own original design and have been created by you. Limited edition prints or work printed onto acceptable "bought in" products, should be good quality and only be a small percentage of your stock for sale.

Artists taking part can leave work set up at Lady Waterford Hall over the three days, though will be at their own risk.

The cost is £75 for three days.

This includes the provision of a table (5ft x 2.6ft) if required, a space measuring approx 7ft x 6ft, you can incorporate the table in your own display or just use your floor-standing easels (preferred) or some other free-standing display,  along with table-top easels, display stands, plinths for glass/ceramics/sculpture.

Please describe your planned set up on your booking form.

The Lady Louise Waterford Open Exhibition at Lady Waterford Hall is for original,  work only. This includes the work you submit for entry to the Lady Waterford art prize and any other work you bring to sell. (You can bring one floor-standing browser for limited edition, mounted giclee prints or unframed originals).

We are asking that artists selected to take part in the event at Lady Waterford Hall, submit up to 4 original, framed pieces for consideration for the Lady Louisa Waterford Prize. The theme for the prize entries is New Beginnings - A Dialogue with Nature.

This is open to all artists, we're looking for original, installation pieces, artwork should be framed...paintings, etchings, original screen print, glass, ceramics, textiles, photography. All will be considered.

This is the very first exhibition of its kind at the hall, and the first Lady Louisa Waterford Open Prize, which will be awarded to the overall winner.

See details of the prize below and how to apply.

We would ask that all artists selected to take part in the event at Lady Waterford hall submits at least one piece of work into the competition.

The piece/s you wish to submit for consideration for the Exhibition Prize will be displayed amongst any other work you bring for sale.

The deadline for entries to the Lady Waterford Art Prize is March 10 2022 .

The piece/s entered into the competition will be labelled separately amongst your other work. If you only want to bring the competition pieces and no other work, that's ok, but please let us know.

All your work can either be for exhibit only, or for sale, or a mixture.

Work for sale must be clearly priced.

Artists are responsible for all their own sales. We don't take commission.

You can bring as many pieces of original work for exhibit and/or sale in addition to your competition entry/ies as long as your set up meets the required standard.  We are aiming to have a more curated event, with gallery/exhibition feel to it, with clusters of work.

Artists are responsible for their own displays, but we will have some say in how their work is set up.

All artists must bring their own suitable easels, display stands, tables or plinths. The entire display should not exceed 7ft x 6ft .

There is no hanging space at the hall.

Nothing can be leaned or attached to the walls, so displays should be free-standing.

If you don't want to bring a table, then more easels/display stand can be brought to fill the same space, clustering larger and smaller pieces of work, ideally of a similar style.

If you'd like to apply to take part in the Lady Waterford Hall event, and we don't already know your work then please send a link to it or a couple of pictures of your work so we can get a good idea of what you d. (We appreciate the actual work you may want to submit for entry to the Prize may not be ready yet).

Artists can enter between one and up to 4 original pieces for the prize. The closing date for this is March 10.

All pieces submitted will all be put before the judging panel for consideration. Any work received after this date won't be submitted for the prize.

The  judging panel will start the process of selecting the winner of the first Lady Louisa Waterford Prize as soon as we've received all the entries. These pics may also be used for promo purpose.

So if you're interested in joining the event at Lady Waterford hall, please email us with a couple of pics or link to your work.

We'll let you know straight away if you've got a place and will send you a booking form.

You will then have until March 10 to send  final photographs of the piece/s you are putting forward for the Lady Louisa Waterford Prize.

Only the pieces submitted for the prize will be considered. Other work exhibited by you will not be part of the prize event. All work should be original and can be for sale, though we do ask that you hang onto your "prize" entires until the end of the event.

The winner will be announced during the event.

The prize will go to the  best original piece in show at the Open Exhibition (Lady Waterford Hall only), and will include a cash prize of £200 donated by the Lady Waterford Hall Trust and The Tin Shed, along with an free online exhibition and special feature at The Tin Shed.

The winner can also take part in any one of the Tin Shed's other pop-up events taking place after this date for free. The space can be selected at any future event as long as there is space available.

The winner will be decided by a panel including the Lady Waterford art collection curator Vicky Lacey-Smith;  Lady Joicey who is chair of the Trust, an artist (TBC);  and a local gallery owner
