Kate Miller is a printmaker, based in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Her work involves layering linocut and collage, often using prints from real leaves and plants, to create her final pieces. She forages much of her material on walks and from her own garden.

"I am trying to capture the tangled, unruly nature of the wild areas of unkempt hedgerow which I love so much, " says Kate.

Her work falls into two categories, one that's inspired by places around the North East, including the wonderful coast and castles, cities and countryside, and the other inspired by nature, mainly plants and seed heads.  Kates recently found much inspiration during her daily lockdown walks around the the streets close to her home, which led to her Urban Garden prints.

She says she noticed how many people have been dedicating more time to their gardens this year and she wanted to celebrate that pride in her work.

Kate, also has a large collection of greetings cards, ceramic coasters, gift tags, tea towels, tote bags and some new embroidered prints on fabric.
