Cyanotype Original Print
Indian Lady - Original cyanotype by artist Josie Nichol.
Josie, from Northumberland.
Cyanotype is one of the oldest forms of photography from 1800's. The prints are unique, one-offs created by coating paper in solution in subdued light, then stored in a dark place until dry. The negative photograph is then transferred to the prepared paper using bright sunshine. The colour changes under UV light into a cyan blue and the image becomes visible
