roger Dobson - Louise and Fabian.jpg

Roger's paintings often featured a person..... or two.

Some were real people, and others  fictional.

His individual style invited the viewer to enjoy the often whimsical features of the subject, as they might be encountered in a dream or fairy tale.

There was, however an underlying poignancy to his work, which was in either acrylic or oil.

Roger worked from his based on Wearside, until his death earlier this year (2022).

He exhibited at the Royal Academy of Art Summer Exhibition 2018 and also at the Royal Scottish Academy of Art Open Exhibition 2018.
