Annie Kennerley
Annie Kennerly originally studied drawing and photography but switched to painting after a career in teaching. Based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, she finds much of her inspiration in the stunning landscapes of Northumberland and Catalonia - two places she spends a lot of time.
She works in oils, acrylics and mixed media on canvas and board and creates her bold, energetic, semi-abstract, contemporary works, using multiple layers, expressive mark making and a range of implements and scraping back techniques.
