Mark is an internationally commissioned portrait artist, based at Kelso in the Scottish Borders. A painter since childhood - his work includes landscapes, wildlife, abstracts and caricatures.

While experienced in a range of mediums, he works mainly in oils.

He takes much inspiration from the old masters, particularly the Renaissance giants, but also more recent maestros such as Sargent and Bacon. Mark favours classical realism in his portraits, without straying too much into hyper-realism, though he says he is happy to adapt his style for commissioned pieces to suit the customers' preferences.
