Róisín Lyst

Róisín is an artist from Northumberland, whose work is inspired by music, atmosphere and people. Using warm distinctive colours in acrylics, she explores themes including music, dance, relationships and sentiments. She launched her business selling animal portraits when she was just 13 and later became increasingly interested in the atmosphere of city life, particularly jazz bars and pubs, while studying in Liverpool. She would often sit in a corner observing and sketching. Some of her paintings begin as a sketch - others from a line of poetry, a piece of music or other inspiration. Alongside her acrylic work, Róisín also accepts commissions for watercolour pet and equine portraits. Email: roisinlystart@gmail.com
