Angela Darling

Originally from South Africa, Angela now lives in the Northeast of England, where she spent many years developing her skills as an artist.
Her early influences growing up abroad and, in the UK, inspired her fascination with the weather, big skies, light and how the seasons can affect landscape and emotions.
In each painting Angela tries to re-convey her connection with the landscape. She pushes the boundaries between colour and tone to create contrast and depth, to evoke emotion. Something she hopes to inspire in her audience.
