We're back at Whalton, near Morpeth in Northumberland in 2025 with two exciting arts events which will also form part of our new Art Trail Northumberland and Borders. Each time at Whalton we'll be joined by around 20 talented local artists and makers from Northumberland and Tyneside. We'll also have tasty bakes and refreshments from local charity PAWS ( www.pawspreschool.co.uk ) which provides pre and after-school care.

Each event is different, with new artists to meet and lots of amazing new work to see. We usually have around 20 artists and makers at Whalton, who will be showing (and selling) their beautiful, handcrafted creations. There'll be something for most tastes and budgets, ranging from original paintings, prints to jewellery, ceramics, textiles and glass.

The front room, where we serve the refreshments, also contains a very interesting display of photographs dating back to late 1800's, including some by the very eminent Victorian photographer Sir Benjamin Stone, taken on a visit to Whalton.

Here's one of Sir Benjamin's famous

images of Whalton's Kern Baby taken in the late 1800's. Please keep an eye on the event page as we'll be updating it with the artists and makers joining us at the 2025 events.
