Lesley Kingsley

Lesley is a painter and printmaker based in Halifax, West Yorkshire.

She now works full-time as an artist, gathering inspiration from her travels and walks in the North of England and Scotland, as well as her love of Scandinavian countries and mythology.

"My style is illustrative. I strive to make looser marks but am always drawn into the detail of an object, creature or place. Since childhood I've been fascinated by fly agaric toadstools, which appear regularly in my work, and probably always will."

Her work has been widely exhibited and can be seen regularly at art fairs and galleries in Yorkshire.
